Seiko Fifty Five Fathoms Blue (DIY)

I’m building a couple seiko FFF’s. This one is going to be based on the usual Seiko SNZ watch. I purchased this watch:


I then went to one of the two main homage and seiko after market suppliers (Dagaz and Yobokis). This one is based on Dagaz Midnight blue dial found here:

I then also went and choose a different bezel than the traditional FFF ones from a newer player, LCBI. They have lumed ceramic inserts. This is the one I choose:



My next step when they arrive is to decide how the current hands match up with the lumes and also what is needed from the date wheel. I’ll post why I choose them and where when I have decided.

I’ll have a separate thread for my black FFF.

I think the last time I brought this up, it was a revelation for people, so I'll mention it again... the popular Seiko parts supplier, yobokies -- his name is just "seiko boy" backwards.

I like the look of the bezel you picked -- is the lume on top, inside, or on the bottom?

I totally didn’t realize that until now. Lol.

The ceramic is new to me also. I’ll definitely post pics when it arrives. Got an email saying it shipped today.
